Introduction
A toggle touch switch is also known as a tumbler switch. It is a category of electrical switches that are activated manually through a rocking mechanism, handle, or mechanical lever.
In a few contexts, mainly in computing, the action of toggling or a touch toggle switch is known as the software or mechanical switch that alternates each time when it is activated between two states, despite mechanical production.
A very frequent usage of a toggle touch switch is to switch electrical equipment or lights to ON or OFF. Several toggle switches are interlocked mechanically to stop prohibited combinations.

Working
A touch toggle switch is created easily by using a decade counter Integrated Circuit (IC) named CD4017 with some other electronic components. The CD4017 is wired as a toggle switch. The IC toggles between pin 2 and pin 3 when a positive pulse is obtained at pin 14. The touch plate is used in the circuit and it is connected between the base of the transistor and the ground.
Applications and Uses
Touch toggle switches are obtainable in several different sizes and styles, and they are used in various applications. Most touch toggle switches are designed to deliver the instantaneous actuation of several sets of contacts of electrical devices, or for the control of huge amounts of main voltages or electric current.
