Introduction

We all have studied amplifiers and made different amplifier circuits. But, today we will make a subwoofer circuit. So, the question is what is a subwoofer amplifier circuit? So basically, Subwoofers are meant to boost bass frequencies, producing a pounding, deep sound. They are typically used in combination with an amplifier to enhance the sound. You can still connect a subwoofer without an amplifier; it just takes a bit more technical expertise. So, now in this tutorial, we are going to the “TDA2030 Subwoofer Amplifier circuit”

The TDA2030 is a monolithic integrated circuit. This IC provides 14W of output power and can be used as a low-frequency amplifier. This IC has a high output current, minimal harmonic distortion, and low crossover distortion. Also, it includes a short-circuit and very high-temperature protection mechanism.

Working Explanation

We made this TDA2030 Subwoofer Amplifier circuit using two TDA2030 amplifiers, with the top side’s output linked to the speaker’s positive terminal and the bottom side’s output attached to the speaker’s negative terminal. The non-inverting input of IC1 and the non-inverting input of IC2 are both grounded with the help of an R8 resistor, and each amplifier receives feedback through the inverting input. A split power supply (+15V, GND, -15V) is used in this circuit. We can achieve up to 30 watts of output power utilizing this Bridge amplifier arrangement.
