Fading LED Light Circuit
Working Explanation
The slow-fade led circuit is very basic, 555 timer IC is used in the astable mode, and a transistor amplifies the current. The PIN 3 means that the power output is HIGH and LOW regularly at Astable mode 555 IC oscillates at a certain frequency. In the circuit, the transistor acts as an amplifier and amplifies the current if the output is HIGH at PIN 3.
This current reaches the capacitor and loads the capacitor to the 2/3 Vcc, while LED glows simultaneously. After that, PIN 3 can produce low performance, OFF transistor and start discharges of capacitors through the collector-emitter junction. The Capacitor discharges to the LED, allowing the LED to fad. The LED lighting disappears as the capacitor discharges. Then PIN 3 again goes big and charges for the capacitor and LEDs.

- In shopping centers, this can be used to fade out lights in areas where no crowds remain.
- In protection applications, fading LEDs may be used to warn something.
- These are ideal for domestic use.
- These can be used as markers for such modifications of vehicles.
