Introduction

In a world where there is so much instability, we are always at risk of being caught by a fire ( because of so many parameters), which may be harmful to both the environment and individuals. If we don’t take any safety precautions, the odds of being caught in a fire are substantially higher. As a result, there should always be a smoke detector that signals a fire so that people can take prompt action to avoid any loss or damage. Thus, we have decided that in this tutorial, we are going to make a “Remote alarm for smoke detector”.

In the making of this circuit, we are using a Smoke detector, MAX921 IC, and VN88ADF Mosfet along with some other components.

Working Explanation

The main component of this Remote alarm for a smoke detector is the IC MAX921. The MAX921 is a low-voltage comparator IC with single, dual, and quad micropower. We have used a 9-volt battery source. to power the wired smoke detector and MAX921IC which detects an increase in supply current resulting in the activation of the detector. Thus, MAX921 detects an increase in supply current due to detector activation. Many detectors use low current in monitor mode and high current in active mode; this difference is noticed by the max921 comparator, which outputs a remote signal.
