Introduction

There are so many places where some kind of r mobile phone may not use. For example, our examination rooms. So, in these places, it is necessary to prevent the use of cell phones. And, obviously, for this purpose, administrators require a detector that can effortlessly detect the presence of mobile radiation within some range. Hence they can employ a device named as called phone call detector. It enables to detection of the presence of mobile phones within a specific range. So, this tutorial; is about making a radiation detector circuit.

To make this circuit we are using LM358 IC, an operational amplifier, popular as op-amp is a DC-coupled high gain voltage amplifier. They designed this IC for signal conditioning, filtering, and amplification. We can easily use the IC components like capacitors and resistors between its output and input terminals.

Useful Steps

To make this circuit we have to consider various steps and try to work accordingly.

  • First, you need to place an IC on your board
  • After that place resistors (100k, 220k, 1k) along with the buzzer
  • Place BC547 transistor and LED. You may also need a jumper wire to connect the transistor to the buzzer
  • Place all the capacitors. You must follow the circuit diagram to put them in right place.
  • Put an antenna, switch, and battery
  • To connect the early Solder all the components according to the diagram given.

Working Explanation

When a mobile phone radiates the radio frequency. The antenna in the circuit finds that signal and the capacitor detects that signal and then passes it to the LM358 IC. The IC gives that signal forward. As a result, the LED in the circuit starts blinking, and the buzzer starts to beep. The buzzer beeps and the LED glows until the signal transmission gets stopped.

Application

  • To detect mobile phone radiation within some specified range.
  • Military applications.
  • Tracking systems.
  • Security Devices
