Introduction
Plant moisture level Monitor is the solution for agriculturists, gardeners, farmers, and people who cherish growing plants. Certainly, the major issue these people have faced is not recognizing the moisture level of the soil. Either Under-watering or over-watering is harmful to the plants. If soil is in continual saturation, it can suffocate the plant. On the other hand, excess water harms the plant roots. So, this moisture monitor is promising and favorable.
Making and installing this circuit, and gate plays a significant role. Know that to power this circuit use only 3V of battery. Capacitors C1 and C2 must be of polyester types. The sensitivity can be modified by a potentiometer in the circuit. Remember to mount an IC on the holder.

Working Explanation
The name gate U1C and the components connected with it work as an oscillator and produces a 2KHz square wave. U1d takes this square input through a potentiometer and a resistor R1. So, when the resistance of probes A and B are low, that is in the soil, it means the moisture level is high. Therefore, C2 diverts the square wave. And, the output of gate U1d will be high. LED will remain OFF. When there is no moisture in the soil, the capacitor C2 doesn’t bypass the signal to the ground. Therefore, the signal appears at U1d and its output gets low which is then inverted high by U1A. The oscillator connected with U1B gets active. Later, this oscillation gets modified by the transistor, and LED turns ON
