MQ-2 Gas Sensor Module is a smoke sensitive product detecting flammable gases such as Methane, Butane, Propane, Alcohol, and LPG. The series of MQ smoke sensors come with a small heater inside along with an electrochemical sensor. MQ2 gas sensor is capable of detecting a range of gases with gas concentrations anywhere from 200 to 10000ppm and is feasible for indoor applications at room temperatures.
MQ-2 Gas Sensor
This sensor module has a digital pin that allows it to operate even without a microcontroller for one particular gas detection. In order for the measurements of gas in ppm, the analog pin in the sensor module that is TTL driven working on 5V can be used that too with most common microcontrollers. This sensor comes with a built-in potentiometer that regulates the digital output threshold controlling the overall sensitivity of the sensor.
