Introduction

As we know amplifiers are the circuits that convert a low signal into a high amplitude signal. But, most students don’t know that there are two types of amplifiers. A power amplifier and a pre-amplifier. So, today we are going to make a power circuit. And, to understand the power amplifier you have to know about the amplifiers. Amplifiers are circuits that amplify the input audio signals at the output. Though, the amplifier circuits are of two kinds.

The preamplifiers and the power amplifiers. Preamplifiers boost the weak signal. While power amplifiers, boost the line-level signals. Its stage comes after the preamplifiers. Hence, it removes noise and distortion of the input signal. Also, strengthen the input signal. Now, in this tutorial, we are going to make the “LM4755 Stereo Audio Power Amplifier Circuit”

Working Explanation

In this LM4755 Stereo Audio Power Amplifier Circuit, we first connected the audio left and right inputs to the input pins of LM4755 through potentiometers and Coupling capacitors C1 and C2. These capacitors block the undesirable DC voltages at the input of the amplifier circuit. We then connected mute pin 2 to 5V supply through resistor R1 and capacitor C4. This together will provide mute function timing. At the output side pin 1 provides Audio left output to the speaker of 4 ohms through the output coupling capacitor and pin 8 provides audio right output. After wiring the circuit, now give audio input at the input terminals and get stereo output from the speaker.
