The LM324 IC comprises four independent, low power, high-gain, frequency-compensated operational amplifiers. LM324 series can directly operate off of the standard 5-V power supply voltage which is used in digital systems and easily provides the required interface electronics without requiring the additional ±15 V power supplies. The IC offers a wide array of features such as high noise immunity, ESD protection, and low thermal wear and tear.
Operational Amplifier
Operational amplifiers are simple electronic circuits that can boost a weak signal to a level of higher amplitude. An operational amplifier is generally used in applications such as home entertainment systems, megaphones, speakers, and microphones, etc. An op-amp usually operates with a number of feedback components that determine the resulting function or “operation” of the amplifier and by virtue of the different feedback, configurations whether resistive, capacitive, or both.
