LM224 IC consists of four independent, high-gain, low power, internally frequency compensated operational amplifiers designed to operate from a single power supply over a wide range of voltages. IC Operation from split-power supplies is also possible and the low-power supply current drain is independent of the magnitude of the power supply voltage. The IC also offers additional features such as ESD barring and high noise immunity.
Operational Amplifier
Operational amplifiers are simple electronic circuits that can boost a weak signal to a level of higher amplitude. An operational amplifier is generally used in applications such as home entertainment systems, megaphones, speakers, and microphones, etc. An op-amp usually operates with a number of feedback components that determine the resulting function or “operation” of the amplifier, by virtue of the different feedback configurations whether resistive, capacitive, or both.
