LM1458 IC is a dual operational amplifier. The two amplifiers share a common bias network and power supply leads. Otherwise, their operation is completely independent. The IC is available in an 8-pin hermetically sealed dual in line IC packaging (DIP). LM1458 has a wide variety of working conditions and voltages. The output of the IC is directly compatible with almost every CMOS, PMOS, and NMOS device. The IC also offers many additional features such as high noise immunity, short circuit protection, and low power dissipation.

Operational Amplifier

An operational amplifier is a voltage amplifying device; that is designed with the intention to be used with external feedback components such as resistors and capacitors between its I/O terminals. These feedback components determine the resulting function or “operation” of the amplifier and by virtue of the different feedback configurations whether resistive, capacitive or both.
