Li-Ion Battery Charger Circuit

Working Explanation

This Ion Battery Charger Circuit charges the Li-Ion battery cell with variable current output. The four-terminal-select switch in this circuit serves to change the charging current. we apply a DC power supply of 5V to the charge VDD pin. capacitor C1 is there to act as a filter capacitor while LED1 gives the input power source status. Some resistors are connected to the four terminal-select switches and then the common terminal is wired to the PROG pin. You can get different values of charging current by selecting different values of resistors. Red LED 2 is there to show the charging status of a battery and LED 3 is there to glow when the charging of the battery becomes rich.
