Introduction
Indoor air quality is a big deal these days, maybe because we connected it to health and well-being. And, in times of covid, the world has already seen that sometimes humans need to stay indoors, for the health and safety of entire beings. But, in those days too, we humans need quality air so that we may. The air leads us to a higher quality of life. Fresh breathable air that reduces the risk of chronic conditions. And, for this purpose humans employ the air quality sensor. So in this tutorial, we are going to study “Indoor Air Quality Sensor Renesas ZMOD4410”.
What is Air Gas Quality Sensor?
An air quality sensor is an electronic device that measures pollutants, such as oxidizable or reducible gases like carbon monoxide, and hydrocarbons. We design a gas Sensor Module for detecting total volatile organic compounds, measuring carbon dioxide, and controlling indoor air quality in distinct smell-based use
cases.
An Overview of ZMOD4410 Sensor
Renesas ZMOD4410 comprises a gas sensing element and a CMOS signal conditioning Integrated circuit inside. The sensing element of the module includes the heater element and a metal oxide (MOx) chemiresistor. The signal conditioner controls and measures the MOx conductivity and also controls temperature. We can read the measurement results through an I2C interface with any microcontroller or processor.
