CD4555 is a part of the CD4000 IC series. On the CD4555 the outputs are high on select. When the Enable input is high, the outputs of the CD4555 remain low regardless of the state of the select inputs A and B. The CD4555BMS and CD4556BMS are similar to types MC14555 and MC14556, respectively. The CD4555BMS and CD4556BMS are supplied in 16-lead hermetic dual-in-line ceramic packages.. The IC CD4555 is smaller in size and it has a much faster speed which makes it reliable in every kind of device.
What is Decoder?
A decoder/demultiplexer is a combinational logic circuit & an integral part of today’s consumer scale electronics. It is designed to switch one common input line to one of several separate output lines. So, A demultiplexer converts a serial data signal at the input to parallel data at its output lines.
