CD4068 is an eight input NAND gate IC. This IC belongs to the CD4000 IC series. CD4068 allows designers to use NAND and AND implementations in DLD design and logic switching applications. The IC has a wide variety of working voltages and conditions and can directly be interfaced with TTL, CMOS, NMOS, and other devices. CD4068 offers a variety of features such as high noise immunity and ESD barring. The IC always comes in a 14-pin hermetically sealed dual in line package.
NAND Gate
The NAND gate is a digital logic gate that is used readily in digital electronics. NAND gate is also known as a universal gate as it can be used to mimic the behavior of any digital logic gate in existence. The output of a NAND gate will always be LOW if any one of its inputs is high. The gate will yield a high output only when all the inputs to the gate are LOW.
