The CD4030 XOR gates are monolithic complementary MOS (CMOS) integrated circuits constructed with N- and P-channel enhancement mode transistors. All inputs are protected against static discharge with clamping diodes to VDD and VSS. The IC is always available in 14 – pin hermetically sealed dual in line package (DIP). CD4030 has a wide range of working voltages, a wide range of operating conditions, and is directly interfaceable with TTL, CMOS, and NMOS devices.

What is XOR Gate?

A XOR gate is a digital logic gate that gives a true (1 or HIGH) output when the number of true inputs is odd. An XOR gate implements an exclusive OR; meaning true output results if one, and only one, of the inputs to the gate is true. If both inputs are false (0/LOW) or both are true, a false output results.
