CA3130 is a 15MHz BiMOS operational amplifier. CA3130 combines the operational capabilities of both Bi-polar and complementary MOS (CMOS) technology. The IC is constructed using gated P-channel MOSFET at the input; so, as to provide a very high input impedance. CA3130 being a BiMOS op-amp has the advantage of high bandwidth operation and less current consumption. The IC has a wide range of working voltages and directly interfaces with both passive and active electronic components; making it ideal to be used with any device.
Operational Amplifier
An operational amplifier is a voltage amplifying device; that is designed with the intention to be used with external feedback components such as resistors and capacitors between its I/O terminals. These feedback components determine the resulting function or “operation” of the amplifier and by virtue of the different feedback, configurations whether resistive, capacitive, or both.

How To Use CA3130
The CA3130 can work in either single or double supply more; for the sake of simplicity we will be focusing on the function of a CA3130 in single supply mode. For this, simply provide a suitable positive voltage input to pin 7 of the IC and hold pin 4 to the circuits electrical GND.
In order to functionally test a CA3130 it is best to employ it as a basic operational amplifier; in order to do this, GND both inverting and non-inverting inputs of the Op-amp; While, providing a suitable supply voltage. The output of the circuit will be an amplified output bridging noise with a slightly raised gain.
