Circuit Operation

The circuit can be divided into four parts by this Automatic Rain Sensing Wiper Control Circuit. The first part consists of 555 IC in Astable mode. The second part consists of an LM358 Compartment. The third part consists of an L293D motor driver circuit with a Rain Detector. We also use 555 Timer IC for input signal every 2-3 secs for Astable Multi-vibrator (obviously, it depends on the cooling coil value), So ensuring the 555 Timer IC is configured astable mode. The Astable multivibrator output attaches to the LM358 and 7 of the L293D engine control pin inverters.

The comparator output directly links to the IC engine’s pin 2. LM358 IC corresponds to the 555 timer IC’s output voltage and the no devices n-inverting terminal’s reference voltage using the Signal Generator (R3 and R4). Two LEDs, one along with the 555 Astable circuit output and the other on the LM358 comparator output, are used. A Weather or Liquid Sensor is used to track rain or moisture. Astable Multivibrator and Comparator feedback is added to the IC L293D dc motor that pushes the wiper motor forward. Based on the location, the entire circuit can be outfitted with 5v-12v power.

Applications and Uses

Finally, double LEDs, one at 555 Astable circuit output and the other at the LM358 comparator output, were used. For rain or weather detection, a cloud detector or Rain sensor is used. Astable Multivibrator and Compensator efficiency are used for the IC L293D motor driver, which contains the windshield motor.
