In this Tutorial, we are going to make an “2 Watt Stereo Bridge Amplifier using LM386”. But, before making the circuit let us briefly know about the stereo amplifier. So, what exactly are stereo amplifiers and how do they function? A stereo amplifier is an electronic device that is used to boost the audio signal so that it may be heard clearly via your speakers. They function by boosting the poor audio output from the source to a level that can operate your speakers.

Working Explanation

To make an LM386 stereo amplifier, connect a 6V power supply to the circuit. After that, insert audio inputs.  Adjust potentiometer VR1 to increase or decrease loudness. The circuit is built around three integrated circuits (ICs): IC1, IC2, and IC3. Each IC has resistors and capacitors with the required values to provide electricity ranging from 700mW to 1W. In the left channel, IC1 and IC2 collaborate to boost the sound output to the loudspeaker. At the same time, IC2 and IC3 collaborate and work together. To connect the amplifier to the appropriate speaker. Wattage is around 2 watts. We’ll observe that utilizing three ICs, each unit is one watt. However, it was a mix of all four watts. Profits per watt.

Application Uses

  • A stereo amp is a fairly typical means of boosting the sound quality of any audio system
  • To efficiently power your speakers,
