LM725 IC is an instrumentation operational amplifier featuring superior performance in applications where low noise, low drift, and accurate closed-loop gain is required. With high common mode rejection and offset null capability, it is especially suited for low level instrumentation applications over a wide supply voltage range. The IC is available in an 8 – pin hermetically sealed dual in line IC packaging (DIP). The IC has a wide variety of working conditions, a wide range of working voltages, and is compatible with almost every known CMOS, NMOS, and PMS device. LM725 offers many additional features such as ESD protection and excellent thermal cycling.
Instrumentation Operational Amplifier
Instrumentation amplifiers are a type of operational amplifiers with additional input buffer stages. The addition of input buffer stages makes it easy to match the impedance of the amplifier with the preceding stage. Instrumentation operational amplifiers are commonly used in industrial test and measurement applications. The instrumentation amplifier also has some useful features like low offset voltage, high CMRR (Common mode rejection ratio), high input resistance, high gain, etc.
