Li-ion Battery Charger Circuit

Useful Steps

Step# 01

Place both lithium-ion batteries on the Thermocol and mark their sizes with a dark permanent marker. Hereafter, mark an estimated length of battery charger full area (Generally, 2 to 3 times larger than the actual battery space.

Step# 02

Exclude the inside area of the mark. Make hollow space for the battery.

Step# 03

Place the battery inside the hole and mark its terminal spots.

Step# 04

Place the steel plate over the terminal spots and mark their spots on the steel plate.

Step# 05

Therefore, bend the steel plates as mentioned in the video. Now connect the steel plates with “Lithium-ion battery charger module, the negative terminal of the module to the positive of battery while positive terminal of the module to the negative terminal of the battery.

Step# 06

Accordingly, place the batteries inside. Now, your circuit is ready to test!

Circuit Operation

Accordingly, the circuit operates in such a way that the battery charger module has all the in-built functionality of charging a couple of 3 – 9 Volts batteries. When powering to the module, the module likewise triggers and sent the chargeable current to the batteries via steel plates.  For identifications, the red LED on the charger module shows the active status of battery charging while the green LED on the charger module shows the battery has been fully charged or been removed.

Applications and Uses

  • It is likewise utilized to charge 18650 rechargeable Lithium-ion batteries of 3 – 9 Volts.
