74LS682 8-Bit Identity/Magnitude Comparator IC | Datasheet

The 74LS682 is a part of the 74XXYY IC series. The 74LS682 magnitude comparator performs comparisons of two eight-bit binary or BCD words. All types provide P = Q’ outputs and all except ‘LS688 provide P > Q’ outputs as well. The 74LS682 IC has totem pole output & also features 20KOhm pull-up termination resistors on the Q inputs for analog & switch data. The IC 74LS682 is smaller in size and it has a much faster speed which makes it reliable in every kind of device.

What is an 8-Bit Magnitude Comparator?

An 8-bit magnitude comparator compares two binary words each of eight bits. It consists of sixteen inputs each for two eight bit words and two outputs to generate equal to and greater than between two binary words.
