This is a circuit of 24V Dual Power Supply Regulated. There are many circuits of different kinds of power supplies but this circuit is giving a regulated and dual output of 24 volts. A dual adjustable power supply provides power for those devices or circuits that require both positive and negative supply of voltage.
We are using two voltage regulator ICs i.e., LM784 and LM794. LM784 is a positive voltage regulator and LM795 is a negative voltage regulator. They provide an output voltage of 24V and -24V respectively. These ICs are three-terminal regulators whose output current is 1.5A. They are available in the TO-220 transistor package and provide protection against overload conditions through thermal shutdown and have internal current limiting safe area protection.

24V Dual Power Supply Circuit
Working
For this circuit, you can either use a 230V or 110V AC to 24V AC transformer. The working of this circuit is simple. The stepdown transformer provides an AC voltage of 24 volts which is passed through a diode bridge for rectification. For the diode bridge, you can choose any diode between 1N4001 to 1N4007 or a 1A bridge.
The rectified DC signal is now passed through smoothing capacitors to filter the signal for noise suppression which is later fed into the voltage regulator ICs, they both provide an output voltage of +/- 24 volts and output current up to 1A amperes. Suitable heatsinks must be used along these ICs to handle load current to its max.
Applications and Uses
A dual-regulated power supply is an important part of the workbench of electronic circuits, it is used to power many audio types of equipment such as preamplifiers, mixers, equalizers, or any other device that needs 24V dual power.
