Introduction
To control the intensity of the LED lights, Lamps; or to manage the rotation of motors, the pulse width modulation controllers or drivers are the basic circuits. Yet, for the motors, we can easily simply use the H bridge ICs. But, for LED lights, etc, there are different PWM driver circuits to generate different square wave frequencies.
Hence, to understand those circuits, in this tutorial, we are going to Make a “10W White LED PWM Driver Circuit”. the circuit uses the SG3525 IC, widely used in the inverters available in the electronic market. Because it easily controls the switching power supplies, has better performance, and needs fewer electronic components, therefore considered reasonable and promising.

Working Explanation
This 10W White LED PWM Driver Circuit uses the SG3525 IC, has 16 pins, and performs different functions. Pin 15 is a power supply pin that can afford 8V to 35V, we have given 12V for our circuit. Pin 12 is for the ground. The IC has a pin 3 (VC) pin, which needs the value of the voltage between 5v to 35V. Pin 1 is the non-inverting pin connected to the potentiometer. Here pin 2 is for the inverting pin connected with pin 9, which is the compensation pin to avoid fluctuations. RT and CT pins together decide the oscillator frequency range. Hence, pin RT is connected to the potentiometer to change the range or intensity of light at the output.
Application and Uses
- It can be used as a street LED light driver.
- In any automation circuit that uses white LEDs
